This update improves app stability, adds new chat features, and fixes several issues.
Improvements
1. Dynamic updates for new chat messages
Previously, on iOS, you had to refresh the page or reopen the chat to view new messages. Now incoming messages appear automatically — just like in the Deskie web app. This makes it easier to stay on top of conversations and reply without interruptions.
2. Enhanced push notifications and dark mode icons for iOS 18
Push notifications have been refined to be more reliable and timely. In addition, iOS 18 users can now enjoy dark mode app icons, making Deskie fit naturally into both light and dark themes on their device.
3. Closing a chat now instantly removes it from the "Active chats" list
In previous versions, there was a noticeable delay before the list refreshed, which could make it appear as though the chat was still open. With this update, the list updates right away, keeping your active chats view accurate at all times.
Bug fixies
- Fixed a crash that occurred when changing the text size in settings;
- Fixed a crash when opening a chat containing a GIF file;
- Long usernames in the active chats list are now properly truncated;
- Text size preview screenshots in settings are now displayed correctly in the selected language;
- Switching quickly between cases no longer causes the "Send response" and "Add note" buttons to briefly appear in the wrong language;
- Attaching a file in a chat no longer sends it immediately before the message — it now follows the message as intended;
- Entering an incorrect login or password now shows the correct authorization error instead of an IP restriction modal.
